New to Dance?

No problem, we’ve got you covered!  One of the hallmarks of the team at Not Just Another Dance Studio is to find the ‘perfect fit’ when it comes to a dance class or style for each and every student.  Contact us and we can assist you in selecting a class.  Your child will leave class thrilled to show you the new dance moves that they learned in class with us!

What Age Can My Child Start Dance Lessons?

We offer dance classes starting at 18 months old.  This is a class where the child participates with a caregiver (mother, father, guardian etc).  Once children turn 3, they are able to participate in class on their own in our Pre-Level classes.  Once a child turns 4, they are elligible to join our level 1 classes, where we offer a lot more styles for dancers to participate in.  We offer classes all the way through to adult classes!

Our system shows you REAL TIME how many spaces are left in each class for your child to enroll

If a class is full, you can click the Waitlist button, and you will be enrolled if a space becomes available.  Not sure which class is best for your child?  Contact us and we can help you through the process of picking the perfect class.

LOCATION HAM = 833 Upper James Street, Rear Unit, Hamilton
LOCATION ANC = 1412 Sandhill Drive, Unit C, Ancaster

Attention Parents:  When registering your child for our Dance Season they must meet the age requirements for classes as of September 1st.

In-Studio Group Dance Classes – Technique Academy!

Group dance classes are held at both our Hamilton and Ancaster locations.  These classes are fun, energetic and your dancer will meet new friends while learning dance moves. Our Technique Academy classes are what are commonly referred to as “recreational” classes, and are a great foundation for your dancers’ learning.  Most of our dancers will participate in a weekly dance class.  At the Pre-Level or Level 1 dancers will be ready to take 2 classes per week so that they can learn different styles of dance.  As your dancer progresses you can add various styles to their weekly lessons.  The Dance Season runs from September through June, with dancers preparing for the annual Recital at the end of the season where they perform on stage, in costume, for friends and family.

Private and Semi-Private Dance Lessons – Stars of Tomorrow Program!

Private Dance Lessons will take your child’s learning to the next level! Smaller class sizes mean more individual feedback to improve technique and keep dancers moving forward in their learning.  Perfect for dancers trying to perfect a skill or trick.

Competitive Dance Team!

Do the words Competitive Dance give you a chill as visions of Abby Lee from “Dance Moms” pops in your head?  Never fear…our program is nothing like what is portrayed on tv.  We specialize in the Pre-Competitive level, which is for dancers that train for 6 hours or less per week.  It is important to us that we train well balanced dancers, that are ready to become productive members of society when they graduate.  This means that they have time for school-work, dance as well as time to socialize and be a kid!  We believe that competing provides many benefits to our dancers such as increased confidence, learning how to follow-through on commitments, how to support one another, and how to never give up.  We offer a Novice Program (for those that are new to competitive dance), a Pre-Comp Program (for dancers training 6 hours or less a week) and a Competitive Program (for dancers training 6+ hours per week).  If you are interested in joining our Elite Dance Team, we would love to hear from you.  Email our Competitive Director Kelly De Luca at hello@njads.ca
