Dance Instructor
Christopher has been dancing since the age of 9, studying multiple disciplines such as Hip Hop, Locking, Popping, House, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Tap. He has danced competitively and professionally and has been training with some of Toronto’s top choreographers and experts within funk styles. He’s trained within companies such as The Male Initiative, Footnotes, The Vibe,and OIP Company. Over the last seven years Chris has been teaching Competitive and Recreational Hip Hop and Contemporary specializing in characterization and the technical elements of Hip Hop. He has dedicated his time into training in and studying the culture of Street Styles and focuses upon teaching it to the younger generations specifically breaking, popping, locking and foundational grooves. He is driven to inspire and help grow dancers beyond just a high score. He has been fortunate to perform for various artists such as Keisha Chante, Girlicious’s Chrystina Sayers, The Launch’s Jayd Ink and Andres Sierra and appeared in Rhianna’s Work music video. He has also had the honour of performing in pieces choreographed by respected artists such as Mark Samuel, Touch, Shavar Blackwood, Leon Blackwood, Scott Fordham, George Jones, Hollywood Jade, Gadfly, Chris Clarke, Alvin Collantes and Hayley Paone. He’s been fortunate enough to train and perform in Los Angeles and New York industry events. He is excited to the share the knowledge gained from these experiences to the younger generations.
