About the Style
Around the world, RAD is recognized for their quality, and their ability for their exams and assessments to motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities. The focus is on creativity and musicality, providing opportunities to progress and achieve. Candidates range in age from two to 60+, at any stage of your life of career, you can develop your fitness, musicality and artistry!
As a dance studio, we are very proud to be affiliated with, and teach the syllabus of the most respected and well-known ballet education organization.

The RAD was founded in 1920 with the aim of setting standards for teaching dance around the UK. Today, the institute has a presence in 85 countries around the world including 36 offices and boasts some 14,000 worldwide members. Over 1,000 students are enrolled in the teacher training programmes offered by the academy and there are some 250,000 students following the syllabi for exams.
The RAD have organised a graded system that has a big focus on creativity and musicality. All candidates who successfully pass an examination or award receive a certificate of achievement, a breakdown of their result & sometimes a medal.
Requirements for RAD Exam classes
There is no pre—requisite for the Primary, Grades 1-8, Intermediate Foundation or Intermediate courses. To move onto the next level in the vocational graded syllabus dancers must have passed Intermediate to move to Advanced Foundation, and to move to Solo Seal, they must have achieved a distinction at Advanced 2.

- Pre-Primary Monday 4-4:45pm
- Primary Monday 4:45-5:30pm
- Grade 1 Friday 4-5pm + 2nd class
- Grade 2 Friday 6:45-7:45pm + 2nd class
- Grade 3 Thursday 5-5:45pm and Friday 5-6:15pm
- Grade 5 Thursday 7:45-8:30pm and Friday 7:45-8:45pm
- Intermediate Foundation Wednesday 6:45-8pm and Thursday 6:45-7:45pm
- Intermediate Wednesday 8-9pm and Thursday 6:45-7:45pm
