Tatiana Lima – Guest Instructor

Dance Instructor

She/Her

Miss Tatiana Lima started her dance journey back in 2007 at Steps Performing Arts Center. In 2010, she officially joined Steps acro competitive team. Throughout the years, she had expanded her styles to also compete in jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet. Keeping her hard work and determination she would always push herself to learn new skills.

In 2015, she was offered the opportunity to perform live on stage with The Next Step with 2 other dancers doing an open routine. When she began learning the foundation of teaching it was back in 2016 at Steps assisting program. She continued in the program till graduation in assisting acrobatics.

Throughout her years in high school, she was a dancer for St. Jean de Brebeuf dance team (SJBDC). She was also featured on HWCDSB news for one of her duet choreographies for mental health awareness. In her graduating year, she was asked to do co-op in dance, which continued to develop her teaching skills by teaching and choreographing routines for grade 10s and 11s.

After graduating from dance and high school in 2021, she was accepted into Mohawk College Massage Therapy Program, where she is currently studying. While she is in her studies, she is continuing her passion for dance but as a teacher. She has been a dance teacher at Steps since 2020 in styles acro and jazz. She is now a competitive teacher at the studio as well. One of her favourite aspects of being a dance teacher is seeing the passion of dance grow inside the dancers.
