She/herMiss Shelly has been a proud NJADS dance mom since 2014, and in 2021 we were thrilled when she officially joined our staff! She’s often the very first friendly face parents meet when looking to join our dance family. Shelly loves helping dancers find the classes that best fit their interests and making sure their very first class is a positive, welcoming experience.
With a Human Services diploma and years of experience working with children, Shelly brings so much heart and knowledge to our team. She has worked with Big Brothers of Oshawa, Whitby & Ajax, spent six summers as the Social Activities Director at Lake Dalrymple Resort, ran her own home childcare from 2008–2014, and worked at Playville. She also brings a unique background from her nine years in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster—so organization and problem-solving are second nature to her!
But above all, her favourite part of NJADS is getting to work with children—watching them learn, grow, and build confidence both inside and outside the studio. This season is extra special, as Shelly’s daughter Abby is starting as a dance instructor—a full-circle NJADS moment she is beyond proud of!
