Maria studied ballet at the Vaganova Academy and graduated in 2018 with the class of the highly respected professor Lyudmila Kovaleva, Shortly after that same year she would join the Mariinsky theatre in October of 2018 perform the lead role in Paquita. By the end of the month she would jump in position from Dance Corps to First Soloist (a position just below Principal Dancer). This was an incredible achievement for someone at the age of 18.
