ENROLLMENT FOR OUR 2023-2024 SEASON – By enrolling through our Studio Portal online, you are committing to the full dance season which runs from September through June (approximately 37 weeks). Tuition listed for each class is the monthly installment amount, and does not include HST. There is a $20.00 + HST Registration Fee billed per family June 1st (or at time of enrollment if registering after that date). This fee is waived for returning NJADS dancers that register before June 1/23.
EQUAL PAYMENT PLAN: Tuition is billed in 10 Equal Monthly Installments. Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month (Sept-June) via Mastercard, Visa or post-dated cheque. If your bill has not been paid by the 5th, there is a $10.00 late fee (Including HST = $11.30) per month. Late fee notices will be sent via email. If your account is past due, we reserve the right to not allow students to participate in class. We do not release costumes, recital tickets or pictures to students with past due accounts. Cash is not an accepted form of payment for monthly class fees, with the exception when paying the year in full. If a student receives 3 late payment charges in a dance season, the studio will switch your tuition payments to pre-pay, and you will be required to pay tuition on the 15th of each month for upcoming tuition payments.
ALTERNATE PAYMENT DUE DATE: You may alternately select to pre-pay your tuition on the 15th of each month. By selecting payment on the 15th at time of registration, you are authorizing to be billed the month before tuition is due. If no payment due date is selected, payment will default to the 1st of each month.
DANCE CAMPS & WORKSHOPS: Enrollment is not guaranteed until payment in full is received, and will be billed to the credit card on file at time of registration.
SUMMER CLASSES: Tuition is billed in 2 payments, on the 1st of July and the 1st of August.
RETURNED PAYMENTS: Must be paid within 7 days via cash, certified cheque or money order, plus a $20.00 service charge (Including HST = $22.60).
WAITLIST POLICY: Students desiring placement in a full class can be placed on a waitlist. To be put on a waitlist please do so through the studio portal. Select the class you wish to enroll for and click the “waitlist” button. While a credit card is required to be placed on a waitlist, your card will not be charged unless you get into the class. If a space becomes available the studio will enroll your child in the class and notify you via email. To be removed from a waitlist email email@example.com.
PRE-PAYING TUITION IN FULL: Parents may pay their full dance season in full if they prefer. Please note these fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you n decide to terminate enrollment for ANY reason, a credit will be placed on your studio account to be used towards future enrollments.
NJADS Inc. reserves the right to combine or cancel classes, temporarily or permanently, without advance notice, due to an emergency or low enrollment. Teachers are subject to change without notice.
CANCELLING – We require 5-business days notice to terminate your enrolment. Students wishing to withdraw from a class must do so in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, advising the student’s name and reason. Requests to terminate contracts will be processed effective on the date that we receive the request. A full refund will be issued if a student withdraws before the start of a session subject to a $20.00 Administration Fee (Plus HST). A student not showing up for classes DOES NOT constitute a withdrawal. Note: Camp Terminations with less then 1 week’s notice are non-refundable.
Students should not attend class if they have a fever, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, infected skin or eyes or suspected communicable disease or lice, or have any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (cold or flu-like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, headache, or any of the symptoms listed in the screening tool to self-isolate for 14 days).
Please notify the studio if your child will not be attending class by submitting an absence through the Parent Portal. Please note – missed classes (i.e. illness, vacation or other) for the dance season, camps or workshops are non-refundable. If the studio cancels class due to instructor illness (when a replacement cannot be found) classes will be re-scheduled. If the studio cancels class due to an emergency i.e. inclement weather, power outage etc. classes will not be re-scheduled and are non-refundable. Students may make up missed classes in an alternate class of the same level by scheduling a make up class in the Parent Portal.
EXCESSIVE ABSENCES: Students with excessive class absences may be pulled from the recital dance with no refund. This is at the teacher’s discretion. Dancers with excessive absences will receive a warning via email.
We will allow students to transfer classes, pending space in the new class requested. One class transfer will be allowed with no penalty. After that there is a $10.00 Administrative Fee to transfer classes. Costume fees are transferable to the new class. Please contact the studio for more information.
I realize that any program that involves movement or dance can result in physical injury. In allowing my child to participate in NJADS INC activities, I hereby assume all the risks associated with the performing arts. I understand the importance of myself and my child following the instructions and rules set by their instructor(s). As the legal parent or guardian, I hereby release and hold harmless Not Just Another Dance Studio (NJADS Inc.), its owners and instructors from any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises of NJADS Inc. Permission is hereby granted to the studio and its representatives to transport my child to a local doctor or hospital for medical treatment if necessary in the event that they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. I hereby declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health.
Occasionally NJADS Inc. will use photographs and/or video of students. This usage may include (but is not exclusive to) displaying publicly, distributing, or publishing, photographs, and/or video of my child for use in materials that include, but may not be limited to:
- printed materials (eg – brochures and newsletters)
- online and offline advertising and promotion
- videos and digital images such for use on Social Media (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and our website).
By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am giving unrestricted permission for my child’s image to be used in print, video, and digital media. I agree that these images may be used by Not Just Another Dance Studio for a variety of purposes and that these images may be used without further notification without compensation to my child or myself. I do understand that any identifying information including surname will not be used in conjunction with any video or digital images.
If I do not wish for images of my child to be used, I must email email@example.com with the subject Cancel Photo Release in the subject line. Please advise your child’s name in the email. Students that have not signed the photo release should not participate in the class pictures taken throughout the year (i.e. parent viewing days, Halloween, Crazy Hair Day, Recital etc as photos as these photos WILL be posted). If you do not wish to have your child’s picture posted, please opt out of participating in Recital as pictures from the performance will be used (you may request that we use the pictures with your child blacked out).
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. It is believed that an individual can be in infected with COVID-19 without their knowledge and be asymptomatic.
NJADS INC has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, NJADS INC cannot guarantee that I or anyone else will not become infected with COVID-19, including my spouse, guests, unborn child, or relatives. Participation in a NJADS INC program(s), related event, or activity, could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19. By signing this agreement, I ACKOWLEDGE the contagious nature of COVID-19 and VOLUNTARILY ASSUME THE RISK that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in a NJADS INC program(s), related event, or activity, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death to myself, my spouse, guests, unborn child, or relatives. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at a NJADS INC program(s), related event, or activity may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself or others, including, but not limited to, NJADS INC employees, volunteers, and program participants. I UNDERSTAND AND VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL the foregoing risks related to COVID-19 and accept sole responsibility for any injury or illness that may occur. Further, I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of NJADS INC, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any NJADS INC program(s), related event, or activity.
I understand that I should be aware of my physical limitations and agree not to exceed them and will practice reasonable measures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. When attending program(s), related event or activity, I must not have any symptoms of COVID-19 including but not limited to fever, sore throat, coughing, aches, respiratory problems, dry cough, fatigue, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, chest pain, rash on skin, discolouration of fingers or toes, headache. I must also not have come in contact with someone who has COVID or is in Quarantine for COVID-19. If I am signing this waiver for my children, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.
To reduce the spread of COVID-19, only students enrolled in class will be allowed into the building/lobby during their class time. Parents may drop off their child and return at the end of class, or wait in their car. All students must be screened before entering the studio, and must wear a mask when in lobby areas. Once they are in their assigned “box” in the classroom, they may remove their mask, and place all belongings within their assigned area. The changeroom will remain CLOSED during any government issued State of Emergency. In instances of Government mandated Quarantine, all classes will be held virtually through Zoom.
