Junior Ambassador
Emily is our Junior Ambassador for the 2025-2026 Dance season. Emily first stepped into the studio at age three—on a friend’s recommendation—and instantly fell in love with dance. Now twelve, she thrives in contemporary and lyrical, drawn to the seamless flow of each movement.
One of Emily’s proudest achievements is mastering the butterfly jump. After weeks of dedicated practice—both in class and at home—she finally landed it, a moment that reminded her perseverance pays off. When faced with challenges, Emily leans on the belief that “I haven’t nailed it yet”—a mantra that pushes her to keep learning and growing.
As a Student Ambassador, Emily champions NJADS’s commitment to “trying your best.” She shows up every week ready to work hard, welcomes constructive feedback, and encourages peers to do the same. Her dream is to join Canada’s national dance team, a goal she sees as the next step in her journey of continuous improvement.
Offstage, Emily plays volleyball and soccer and loves hanging out with friends. To her, being part of the NJADS family means supporting fellow dancers, listening to teachers, and helping everyone feel welcomed and inspired. Trust the process—that’s Emily’s advice for every new dancer. In just her first year of competitive dance, she’s proud of everything she’s already achieved!
